AQL and Third-Party Apparel Inspection Support for Buyer-Defined Orders
Ninghow Yoga is the specialized yoga apparel division of Ninghow Apparel. We supply custom yoga apparel and activewear to international brands, studios, retailers and sourcing teams. When an order requires an AQL inspection, a customer-appointed inspector or an external inspection company, we can coordinate the arrangement according to the buyer’s written requirements.
Our role is to review the inspection brief, support communication, prepare relevant order information and arrange access for the appointed provider. We do not act as the independent inspection provider or decide the result on the buyer’s behalf. Procurement and quality managers can submit their product details, inspection criteria and provider information for project review.

How AQL, Appointed and Third-Party Inspection Differ
The terms AQL, customer-appointed inspection and third-party inspection describe different parts of an inspection arrangement. They are not competing options, and one appointment may include all three.
Ninghow Yoga does not apply one universal AQL level, sampling plan, defect limit or pass rule to every project. These criteria must come from the buyer, the appointed provider or written order requirements.

From Requirement Review to Report Handover
Inspection coordination starts when the buyer provides the order scope and inspection instructions. We review the request against the relevant product and production information, then confirm the coordination points that can be supported for the project.
Appointment timing, provider availability and report turnaround depend on the buyer’s requirements and the provider’s process. They are not fixed service promises from Ninghow Yoga. Inspection requirements should therefore be raised early enough to be reviewed within the wider order plan.
Information Needed for an Inspection Brief
A clear brief allows the buyer, provider and supplier team to work from the same requirements. It should identify the exact order and styles involved, rather than referring only to a collection or purchase programme.
Any conflict between the purchase order, technical documents and inspection criteria should be resolved before the appointment. This reduces the risk of the inspector applying a rule that differs from the buyer’s actual acceptance requirements.
- Purchase order, style number and product references
- Requested inspection stage and proposed date window
- Applicable product specifications and measurement requirements
- Defect classifications and any buyer-specific examples
- Selected sampling method and AQL criteria, when applicable
- Required report format, recipients and supporting records
- Appointed inspector or provider contact details
- Inspection location, access needs and document requests
Working with SGS, Intertek or a Buyer-Selected Provider
We can support coordination with third-party inspection or testing providers such as SGS or Intertek when required by the project. A buyer may also appoint another provider and define the service it wants that provider to perform.
Our support can include project communication, appointment information and inspection access. Naming a provider does not indicate a formal partnership, certification, endorsement or guaranteed availability. The provider remains responsible for its own service process and findings, while the buyer remains responsible for confirming that the requested scope meets its purchasing and quality needs.
Testing is also separate from a general garment inspection. If testing is requested, the buyer and provider should define the test scope, method, samples, documents and reporting requirements in writing.
Who Sets the Criteria and Makes the Acceptance Decision
The buyer or appointed provider should confirm the governing specifications, sampling criteria, defect categories and decision rules before inspection. Ninghow Yoga can coordinate the arrangement, but supplier coordination does not replace the inspector’s independent assessment.
The responsibility boundaries are clear:
An inspection appointment does not guarantee a pass. It also does not replace the agreed product specifications or the buyer’s responsibility to review the resulting report. For a broader view of our verified supplier-side controls, visit the activewear quality control and inspection process.
- The buyer defines or approves the product and acceptance requirements.
- The appointed provider conducts the requested service and records its findings under its own process.
- Ninghow Yoga supports access, relevant communication and order information for the agreed appointment.
- The buyer or another authorized party decides whether the findings allow the order to proceed.
Reports, Findings and Follow-Up Actions
Before the appointment, the buyer should confirm who receives the report and what supporting information is expected. This may include images, measurement records or other material requested under the provider’s service scope, but the actual report content depends on the written agreement with that provider.
If the report identifies a finding, the next action follows the buyer’s and provider’s agreed process. Possible decisions may involve review, a correction request, reinspection or release, but none of these steps should be assumed automatically. The responsible party, required evidence and decision authority need to be defined for the specific order.
Shipment release must also be tied to the buyer’s written instructions. Ninghow Yoga does not treat coordination of an inspection as automatic approval to release or hold an order.
Submit Your Buyer-Defined Inspection Requirements

Frequently Asked Questions
Can Ninghow Yoga support an AQL inspection for an activewear order?
Yes. We can support an AQL inspection when required for an activewear or yoga apparel project. The buyer or appointed provider must confirm the sampling approach, inspection level, defect categories, acceptance limits and decision rules. We do not apply one universal AQL plan to every order.
What criteria must a buyer provide before an AQL inspection is arranged?
The buyer should provide the order and style references, applicable specifications, inspection stage, measurement requirements, defect classifications, sampling approach, AQL criteria and reporting instructions. Any conflicting requirements should be settled before the appointment.
Can our company appoint its own apparel inspection provider?
Yes. Customer-appointed apparel inspection can be coordinated according to project requirements. Provide the inspector’s contact details, authority, requested scope, date window, access needs and document requests so the arrangement can be reviewed.
Can Ninghow coordinate with SGS, Intertek or another provider?
Coordination with third-party inspection or testing providers such as SGS or Intertek can be supported according to project requirements. Buyers may appoint another provider as well. Availability, scope, timing and reporting remain subject to the selected provider’s process.
How does third-party inspection differ from internal quality control?
Our internal quality control covers supplier-side checks during the order process. Third-party inspection is performed by an external provider under a buyer-defined scope. It adds an independent reporting route but does not replace the agreed specifications or internal controls.
Who reviews the report and decides whether an order can proceed?
The inspection provider records its findings, while the buyer or another authorized party reviews the report and makes the acceptance or release decision. Ninghow Yoga supports communication and follow-up according to the agreed process but does not replace the buyer’s approval authority.
